Alexander Blome

University of Applied Science Karlsruhe, Germany

Film: The Mission

Length: 1'53"

Alexander Blome was born in 1985 in the Black Forest, a wooded region with twisting roads in the southwest of Germmany. He was fascinated by cars, motorbikes and engineering from a very early age. In 2006, he began studying Technical Writing at the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe, where he learned the basics of writing, filming and video-editing, with a stopover in England at the Bauer Media Publishing Group. In 2010, he began work as an editorial motorbike journalist at the Motor Presse Stuttgart publishing company.

Since 2014, Alex has been working as a freelance journalist and DSLR filmmaker, always on the road in his Volkswagen campervan. He finished his first short film while travelling around Europe in 2016. "The Mission" compiles scenes of people he met by chance, all connected through the element of soap bubbles - authentic moments that Alex turned into a funny, twisted story.
