Promovideo VPET @Virtual Production (LED Wall 2021)

The open source Virtual Production Editing Tools (VPET) developed by the R&D Team at Animationsinstitut of Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg evolve continuously from a research prototype initiated 2018 to a flexible production tool. Recently VPET was used in the Filmakademie Virtual Production Setup of the ‚Cyber City Love Story‘ involving a large LED Screen. Intuitive scene and light editing was achieved in real-time while operated directly on set, in front of the LED wall. In addition the alignment of real set and virtual extension on the LED wall was adjustable in VPET. An improved version 2.0 of VPET is currently being developed and will be released in Q1 2022.
