Technical Directing Making Of "Sparkygen"

SparkyGen is a Maya Autorigging Plugin designed to mimic the artistic style of 2D Animation by blending between different Head Shapes based on the perspective of the head. It is particularly designed to preserve the charm and style of a Concept Art or 2D Animatic look and feel when working in 3 dimensional space. SparkyGen was inspired by the work of BlueSky on the peanuts movie presented at siggraph 2015 and is developed as part of the technical directing course at Animationsinstitut of Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.
