Wietger Mosch

Wietger Mosch (1997) graduated in 2022 as a cinematographer at the Netherlands Film Academy. He mainly works in documentary, fiction and experimental video art. Both before and during the academy he assisted on various film sets and gained a lot of experience with light and camera. In recent years he also learned more and more about working with analogue film and became very enthusiastic about this way of filming.
He shot close-ups at the bottom of a swimming pool of people talking about the hidden color of water (Catharina Vergeer, 2021), captured the invisible movement of Spanish rock shadows (Pam Sikkink, 2022) and made the short film GODSPEED (Silke van Kamp, 2021). He also shot his graduation documentary Jongen van Hout (Eva Oosterveld, 2022) on 16mm.
His third-year academy film Revelinho (Idriss Nabil, 2021) won prizes at international film festivals. This year he and Idriss are building on this film with their graduation fiction This is your captain speaking.
