Open Days online and on site 2026

In 2026, FABW will once again join the Baden-Württemberg wide Open Day (November 18) in online presentations and Q&As.

We will be opening our doors one week later (November 25) for anyone who would like to experience the Ludwigsburg-based film school up close. During various departmental events and guided tours, we will provide an authentic look behind the scenes.

We look forward to welcoming you on screen and/or in person!

Detailed programme information for both days, as well as the login details for the Zoom rooms on the online day, will be announced on this page in good time before the events!

At the online open day (18 November 2026), you can get first-hand information in Zoom rooms dedicated to each study course and specialisation – from staff, lecturers and students. The Office of Student Affairs also offers guidance, for example on application-related queries, sometimes in one-to-one sessions.

At the on-campus open day (25 November 2026), you can explore the campus layout and find out about the various fields of study in film, series, animation, and interactive media.
Lecturers, students and programme coordinators will be on hand to answer questions about entry requirements, the course structure and campus life in Ludwigsburg. The Office of Student Affairs also offers advice on applications, tuition fees and entry requirements, and will issue a certificate of attendance on request.

In addition, you can discover our Filmakademie on guided tours led by student guides.
