Answer: DSH Level 2, TestDAF Level 4, Level B2 (Goethe Institute) (Not required for Technical Directing).

Further information on the recognition of foreign certificates can be obtained from the State Academy of Art and Design Stuttgart (ABK), Department of Studies and Examinations

Foreign applicants who have a secondary school leaving certificate (diploma, not an interim report) must provide this certificate “for the determination of equivalence” to the German Abitur (university entrance qualification), before submitting their application. It must be submitted in a franked DIN A4 envelope, with the applicant’s address on the back, to:

If you have a pre-qualification and/or a Bachelor’s degree, please submit the certificate in the following format:

A Scholastic Ability Test (Arts & Athletics) is also required.
