Welcome to the glamorous and harsh reality behind the curtains of Germany’s first soccer league: „Player$“ is about players‘ agent Tim Gibbels who tries to keep hot headed shooting star Marko Krotz at bay. To make things worse his ex-wife Mia manages Marko’s club. When Tim‘s boss Regina ponders whether maybe Tims nemesis Branko might be a better No. 1, it’s time to act: Tim gets his client a lucrative advertising deal. But when Marko publicly insults his coach he is sent to the bench. This position makes for a very poor advertising space. With the help of Marko‘s brother, retired player Oli, Tim finally gets through to the stubborn star. When the mediation attempt with the coach fails big time, Tim has only one last chance...
