Project-based study

This involves two fields of study: film music and film sound/sound design. During their studies, students are involved in their department, and are also involved in the Film Academy’s existing projects and production processes. Inter alia, inter-disciplinary tasks include writing a film analysis.

Lateral entry

Lateral entry into the 3rd year of study is possible for applicants with relevant pre-qualifications (e.g. a previous diploma or BA degree). Lateral entrants take part in foundation courses in organisation, technology, and basic cinematography. Departmental teaching starts after this. Interdisciplinary activities include compulsory film history/theory seminars and writing a sequence analysis. Otherwise, teaching and project participation are the same for both lateral entry and fulltime students.
