Since the academic year 2010/2011, the Verwertungsgesellschaft für Nutzungsrechte an Filmwerken mbH (VGF, Critical Association for Usage Rights to Film) has helped to run the Hollywood Workshop Los Angeles by completely covering the costs for Production students (6 out of 12 participants). The application process is carried out by the Film Academy; it is not possible to apply directly to the VGF.
