Hollywood Workshop

The Hollywood Workshop Los Angeles is an opportunity for a group of students from the Filmakademie to get to know the working methods of American studios. The special focus areas include story development, project development, packaging, production and marketing. For each year group, the University of Southern California (UCLA) develops a study plan appropriate for the individual make-up of the group. The teaching staff come from film studios, production companies, TV broadcasters and the UCLA itself.

Students must apply to take part. This is only possible for students enrolled at the Filmakademie after completion of their basic studies. Once the selection process is complete, 12 students are put forward to the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung and the VGF. Six of those will receive the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung’s “Baden-Württemberg SCHOLARSHIP for Film Production”. Six participants from the Production department will receive a VGF scholarship.
