Hollywood Workshop

 

The Hollywood Workshop Los Angeles gives a group of students an introduction into the working world of American film studios. Highlights include story development, project development, packaging, production, and marketing. For each incoming class, the University of Southern California (UCLA) creates a course plan designed around the particular interests of the group. The teaching staff have backgrounds in studios, production companies, TV programmes and the UCLA itself.

It is only possible for students registered at the film school to make an application after they have completed their foundation course. Students must apply to reserve a place on the programme. 12 successful candidates from the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung and the VGF shall be nominated to receive scholarships. Six of them shall receive the “Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM für Filmproduktion” (scholarship for film production from the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung). Six participants studying Production shall receive a scholarship from the VGF.
