Image design/camera

Students specialising in image design/camera work follow a comprehensive course of study which lasts for nine semesters. When they graduate, they will meet all the artistic, technical and organisational requirements expected of a professional “Director of Photography”.

The training course is led by lecturers who have had experience in the industry. The film and media programme of study lasts for 4 years and includes technical camera training, as well as interdisciplinary modules which focus, for example, on the topics of directing, editing and screenplay writing.

From the fifth semester, artistic and organisational camera work in various genres takes centre stage in project-based study. During student film projects, students specialising in image design/cameras work under realistic conditions, in a responsible position with the latest technology. Other content of the training course includes interdisciplinary workshops on film acting, VFX and production design.

Lessons in the image design/camera work department are led by competent lecturers who give ideas and guidance on artistic development and practical implementation.
