The PORSCHE INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADVERTISING FILM AWARD was launched in 2004 by the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg together with Porsche AG. Until 2015, the event was annually held at the Filmakademie in Ludwigsburg. Starting this year, it will be hosted and organised in cooperation with the British National Film and Television School (NFTS) and the award ceremony will henceforth alternate between London (2016) and Ludwigsburg (2017), thereby emphasising the award´s international standard more strongly.
As the only international advertising film award that is dedicated to encouraging young talent and that pursues no commercial interests, the PORSCHE AWARD has a unique profile. It has created a representative platform designed for popularising young filmmakers’ outstanding work in the industry and that provides them with the opportunity to move one step closer to a professional career in the field of motion pictures.
The PORSCHE AWARD has enjoyed great success over the last twelve years and has continuously gained in importance for both the advertising film industry and the press.
The competition will continue to allow all moving image formats that can be found in advertising. Furthermore, the PORSCHE AWARD puts an especially strong emphasis on the “International Automobile” section, specifically supporting innovative ideas and projects relating to the auto industry.
